Sunwapta Falls

Approximately a 40-minute drive from Tekarra Lodge, Sunwapta Falls is a beautiful place to experience the power of Jasper’s glacier-fed rivers. Surrounded by evergreen forest and mountain scenery, the falls send rushing water through a dramatic rocky gorge, creating a misty, thundering view that is especially impressive during the spring and early summer flow.

The upper falls are easily reached from the nearby parking area, making it simple to stop and take in the scenery from the viewpoints. Guests looking to explore a little farther can follow the trail through the forest toward the lower falls for more views of the cascading Sunwapta River.
